The Bonn Square Newcomers meeting brings Narcotics Anonymous to the heart of Oxford every Thursday evening at 19:45, running for an hour and a half at New Road Baptist Church. As the name suggests, it's set up with newcomers in mind, so if you're walking through the door for the first time you'll be in good company. Each week features a main chair sharing experience, strength and hope, followed by open sharing, with candlelight adding to the setting. To get in, head round to the back of Bonn Square on the right-hand side of the church and ring the entry phone for the Mint Room, on the right of the door. The nearest car park is Westgate Mall. Children are welcome but need supervising, and pets aren't allowed.
Can I come to this meeting if I'm new or not sure I belong?
Yes. This is an open meeting with a newcomer focus, so anyone is welcome, including family, friends and anyone curious about NA. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop using drugs, and newcomers are especially welcome here.
Do I need to book or pay anything?
No. There's no booking and no charge to attend. NA meetings are free; members may pass a basket for small voluntary contributions to cover room hire and refreshments, but you never have to give anything.
How do I actually get into the venue?
Access is at the back of Bonn Square, on the right-hand side of the church. Ring the entry phone for the Mint Room, found on the right of the door. The closest car park is Westgate Mall. Children are welcome if supervised, and no pets please.
