The Nottingham 7:30pm Group meets every Thursday evening at St Barnabas Cathedral Hall, off Derby Road in the city centre. The hall sits on the corner of College Street and Wellington Circus, behind the cathedral, so aim for that side rather than the main frontage. This is a Just For Today book study, where members read from the daily meditation book and share around what it brings up. Sessions run for an hour and a half, starting at 19:30. As an open Narcotics Anonymous meeting, it welcomes anyone with a desire to stop using drugs, along with family, friends or professionals wanting to understand the fellowship. A chit or MAC signing system is available if you need attendance recorded. Guide dogs only in the building and grounds; other pets can't come in.
Who can come to this meeting?
Anyone is welcome. As an open NA meeting, it's suitable for people with a desire to stop using drugs, as well as family members, friends and professionals who want to learn about the fellowship.
Do I need to book, and is there a cost?
No booking is needed and there's no charge. Just turn up before 19:30 on Thursday. NA is self-supporting through members' own contributions, so a voluntary donation is passed round, but nobody has to give anything.
Can I bring my dog?
No dogs are allowed in the building or in the Cathedral grounds, with the exception of guide dogs. If you have a guide dog, please contact the venue in advance where possible so they can help.
