Green & Gold Thursday is a Narcotics Anonymous meeting held every Thursday evening at Norwich Central Baptist Church, on St Mary's Plain off Duke Street in central Norwich. Doors run from 18:00 for an hour and fifteen minutes. The meeting is on the ground floor, and you'll need to ring the intercom to get in. Each week opens with a ten-minute reading from How It Works and Why; on the first Thursday of the month an NA member shares on a Step or Tradition. The format blends discussion, participation, step and tradition work, and book study, with a warm welcome for beginners and newcomers. This is an open meeting, so anyone is welcome. Children are welcome. Guide dogs and service animals are welcome; no other pets, please.
Can I come if I've never been to NA before?
Yes. This is an open meeting, so anyone is welcome, including newcomers, family, friends and professionals. There's a specific welcome for beginners, and if you have a desire to stop using drugs, you belong here.
Do I need to book, and is there a cost?
No booking is needed and there's no charge to attend. Just turn up and ring the intercom to be let in. NA is self-supporting through members' own contributions, so a small voluntary donation may be passed round, but you never have to give anything.
Is the venue accessible, and can I bring my dog?
The meeting is on the ground floor and the venue is wheelchair accessible. Guide dogs and general service animals are welcome, though no other pets, please. Children are also welcome.
