The Queerlit LGBTQIA+ NA meeting gathers every Monday at 5.30pm in the Events Room above Queer Lit, an LGBTQIA+ bookshop and cafon in Manchang. The main door sits on Great Ancoats Street u2014 the black door on the corner facing BEM Brazil. Head through the bookstore, take the steps down to the reading area, then the second set of stairs up to the meeting room, which is private and separate from the shop for anonymity. This hour-long gathering welcomes anyone with a desire to stop using drugs, with a rotating format covering Just For Today, literature and Spiritual Principle a Day study alongside speakers. It's a five-minute walk from Piccadilly Gardens, easily reached by any bus into the city centre.
Who can come to this meeting?
This is an open Narcotics Anonymous meeting with an LGBTQIA+ focus, so anyone is welcome — including family, friends and professionals — alongside people with a desire to stop using drugs. If you're new, you can simply turn up and sit in.
Do I need to pay or book?
No. NA meetings are free and there's no booking. NA is self-supporting through members' own contributions, so a small voluntary donation may be passed round, but you never have to give anything to attend.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes. For step-free access, go through the main café, out the back door, turn right, and you'll find a wheelchair accessible door. The standard route into the room is via two sets of stairs through the bookshop.
