Hamilton Afternoon Newcomers

Aimed particularly at people new to recovery, this Wednesday afternoon meeting starts at 1pm at Hamilton Baptist Church on Kemp Street and runs for about seventy minutes. As a closed meeting, it is for those who have a desire to stop drinking, not for family members or professionals wanting to observe. There is no fee and no booking involved, you can simply come along and take a seat. The church is wheelchair accessible, and a chit system is in place, so anyone needing a signed attendance slip for court, probation or a treatment service can ask at the meeting. The daytime slot makes it a useful option for anyone who struggles to get to evening meetings because of work, childcare or other commitments.
