Ardfert

Ardfert also holds a Friday meeting at 8.30pm in The Oratory at the Cuil Mhuire Pastoral Centre, Church Street, Ardfert, Co. Kerry, reached through the right-hand side of the car park in the grounds of St. Brendan's Church. On the last Friday of each month, the format shifts from general sharing to a Tradition meeting. Like the Tuesday session run by the same group, this is a closed meeting, for AA members with a desire to stop drinking rather than for family, friends or professionals. Attendance is free and there is no booking required, so people usually arrive a few minutes early. The meeting follows the standard Alcoholics Anonymous shape of a short reading followed by sharing, with participation always optional. Wheelchair access has not been confirmed for the venue, so anyone with mobility needs should ask directly.
