Leighton Buzzard Newcomers

Leighton Buzzard Newcomers meets on Wednesdays at 8pm for about an hour at The Salvation Army hall on Lamass Walk. Despite the name suggesting an open door to anyone, this is a closed AA meeting, reserved for people with a desire to stop drinking rather than family members, friends, or visiting professionals, and it's particularly geared towards those new to the fellowship. The format focuses on straightforward, welcoming discussion aimed at helping people take their first steps into recovery. The Salvation Army building is wheelchair accessible. As with every AA meeting, there is no cost and no need to book in advance, so anyone who qualifies to attend can simply come along on a Wednesday evening.
