St Bedes Church Hall on Wigton Road also hosts a Saturday evening meeting, starting at 7.30pm and lasting an hour, shorter than the Monday session held at the same address. Like the Monday meeting, it is open, meaning anyone can attend regardless of whether they are an AA member, a family member, a friend or a professional with an interest in the fellowship. The hall is wheelchair accessible. There is no charge and no booking required, as with all AA meetings, so newcomers can simply turn up before half past seven. A weekend evening slot can suit people who find weekday attendance difficult.
