Holme-On-Spalding-Moor

Holme-on-Spalding-Moor, between Market Weighton and Howden in the East Riding, has its own Saturday evening Alcoholics Anonymous meeting at 7pm at 4 Village Courtyard on the High Street. The meeting lasts an hour and is open, so anyone is welcome to attend: people who want to stop drinking, family members, friends and professionals who want to see how AA works. The venue is wheelchair accessible. There is no charge, no booking and no referral needed; you simply turn up on the night. For a village meeting it keeps things wonderfully uncomplicated, and it spares locals a longer drive into York, Hull or Goole on a Saturday night.
