Chelmsford A New Beginning

Chelmsford A New Beginning is a Friday night candlelight meeting, held at 7.30pm at Trinity Methodist Church on Rainsford Road and lasting an hour and a half. The candlelit format gives the room a quieter, more reflective feel than most meetings, which some people find makes it easier to talk and to listen. It is an open Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, welcoming anyone with a desire to stop drinking together with family members, friends and professionals. Newcomers can simply sit and take it in; nobody is called on to speak. The church is wheelchair accessible. There is no cost and no booking, so if the end of the working week is a hard time, this is a steady place to spend it.
