Eastbourne Seaside Speakers Choice

Eastbourne Seaside Speakers Choice meets on Friday evenings at 7.30pm in the ECT Suite at the Department of Psychiatry, Eastbourne District General Hospital on Kings Drive. Despite the clinical setting, this is an ordinary Alcoholics Anonymous meeting lasting an hour and a half, with a speaker format in which a member shares their story and chooses the theme. It is open to everyone: people with a desire to stop drinking, family, friends and professionals alike. The suite is wheelchair accessible, and the group operates a chit system, so attendance slips can be signed for court, probation or treatment requirements. There is nothing to pay and nothing to book; arriving a little before 7.30pm gives you time to find the room.
